marriage in islam

“(Your wives) are like garment unto you, & you (O husbands) are like their garments.” Marriage, like a garment, is meant to be a comfort, a protection, & a security. It beautifies & warms personalities. It enfolds, covers & conceals what is private & sacred. For a happy marriage, everything ultimately depends on the free will, intentions & attitudes of the individual husband & wife.

marrying christian & jewish women

Islam has made marriage to Jewish or Christian women lawful for Muslim men. Tolerance of such a degree is a characteristic of Islam which is hardly to be found among other faiths and nations.

message of mercy
